Welcome To But Deep Down Inside, A Social Impact Program for Selected Small Businesses and Nonprofits!
But Deep Down Inside (BDDI) is an innovative program designed to help selected small businesses and nonprofits connect more deeply with their community through the implementation of a social entrepreneurial initiative designed and implemented by your organization. You may be chosen as one of the first 25 entities to participate in this exclusive opportunity!
Our Story
BDDI began as a t-shirt company to sell items and create a revenue stream for the nonprofit organization, Coaching for Everyone (CFE).
Our idea was simple: we would sell t-shirts and the proceeds would support the mission of CFE.
An interesting event happened at a local bike shop in Fremont, California. The CFE founder, Victor McGuire, took his wife, Susan, and dog, Cassie, on a bike trip to the coast. As luck would have it, one of the arms on the bike rack had been broken in a fender bender and they were having a hard time getting the manufacturer to respond with a new one. Victor went to the bike shop again searching for a solution and Fred, the owner, was on a mission to make sure Victor’s bike would have a new arm. Fred called the manufacturer, they agreed to mail the part out, but there was still an issue, it was not going to arrive in a timely manner. Fred kindly told Victor that he would make this situation right. He went to another rack and disassembled a bike arm, giving Victor the replacement part on the spot.
Victor was incredibly grateful and was delighted by the above and beyond customer service experience that Fred provided. Victor planned to return to the bike shop later with a special gift to show gratitude, a delicious box of donuts. Then, Victor realized an idea! Victor reflected on the BDDI t-shirts and thought of a great design idea for Fred - “I May Act Like I’m Okay, But Deep Down Inside, I Want To Ride My Bike”.
Not long after that, Victor considered the bike shop selling this phrase on t-shirts and mugs on the BDDI website, giving some of the proceeds of the revenue to the bike shop to support a social impact cause that was near and dear to the heart of the bike shop owners, Fred and Tina.
Victor spoke with Fred and Tina about the idea! They were thrilled to join in on the social impact initiative, becoming the first small business Social Impact Partner!
BDDI is not just a t-shirt company - BDDI is a social impact program opportunity for small businesses and nonprofits to sell high-quality t-shirts and mugs with fully customizable messages that align with their brand and support community organizations with donations from the proceeds.
